Community Work

We expect to be asking about 4 hours per month of volunteer work from community members after we move in. Work will include bookkeeping, computer maintenance, and a variety of committee jobs. Initially we will also be depending on ourselves to cook dinners in the common house. Each household will take responsibility for one or two meals each month (depending on whether you cook alone or as a part of a team).

During our design and building phase, we try to keep the costs of our houses down by doing volunteer work to further the project. Member volunteers are organized into committees.
